In the USA, we can have all the handguns and semi-auto rifles we want but a deact MG will land you in prison unless it is cut to pieces!

Every once in a while, a reassembled MG42 shows up but legality is somewaht questionable!
couldnt be farther from the truth.

In fact we can re-wat them to semi auto ....not to mention we can own actual machineguns.....

I'd say 1500€ each would be reasonable, as said.

          Don't think so!!
You can have a demilled MG 34 and 42 all day long with a solid receiver for display and even a modified one for single fire semi auto...and even full auto with the right paperwork in many States!

2000 for the mg is too much.i think 1500 is o.k. but not more.

I think Hsc's point was lost. here in the states we can't own the MG34 as shown. he's only talking about this type of demil. here in the states. a demilled weapon like this, is required to be cut in pieces. you can weld it back together from there. we can not own one that is demilled in the European style. and yes we can own anything full auto with the right license. but the reference was about European demil compared to American demil. once you put on a solid receiver for display, it is no longer the same. not original parts. just wanted to clear that up. I wish we could own the European type of demilled MG's. they look nicer, because they retain all original parts. and the reciver is not cut in 3 pieces and rewelded .

The price for a deact MG42 : 2000 euro....are regular prices here in Europe.
I wish they were a little bit cheaper.

my opinion is 2000 for a standard mg42 is too much.but o.k. for rare exemplares maybe. an example are early or late mg42 in good and original condition.then can be the price higher.i think the normal price is 1500-1800 Euro.but supply and demand makes the price.
here the top ten list from the producer with the fewest exemplares:

                    - 1942 - bpr = ca. 600
                    - 1942 - bnz = ca. 1.200
                    - 1943 - ar = ca. 1.350
                    - XE - swj = ca. 3.062
                    - DF -dd = ca. 5.500
                    - 1942 - dfb = possible 10.000 but i know only one exemplar (very rare!!!)
                    - 1943 - dfb = ca. 10.000
                    - 1943 - bnz = ca. 11.800
                    - JT - ar = ca. 12.550
                    -1942 - cra = ca. 15.000

sorry again and many thanks to my friend Jonathan!!!!
