I have been scouring here and elsewhere looking for an answer to my question ,hopefully someone here can assist. From what I have read EARLY Para carbines had Type 1 barrel bands , did they also have type 2? I see one I'm interested in and everything else is correct .

1 thing I don't get though ,the barrell date puts it in production for a 2ND CONTRACT, not first but all the features are what I understood to be 1ST CONTRACT, high wood, flat bolt, push button safety. The serial # is 71445x. So do I have a 2ND CONTRACT barrel since it's 5-44 and all the other components point to 1ST CONTRACT?Last edited by Mark C.; 06-16-2013, 05:05 PM.
