Thanks Gentlemen! I assure you as I recieve these pics I wish more than ever to be back there with Jan detecting! But with a family now it is just so difficult to go more than once a year to the homeland. Here are a couple pics I recieved this morning from Jan. I think as his camera is broken he is borrowing someone else's. More pics when ti is all cleaned up. Thanks again for looking Gentlemen.

And another one! The Luger I found was in very poor shape, unfireable, this one is definitely nice Mauser 1941.

Hi guys and thynk you for your interest! And of course many thanks to my friend Joe who is posting that for me, because I am very busy now.
The Luger is almost disassembled, only breechlock section and Safety catch still remains. I will take more pics today and post them through my friend
          Thanks for looking.

I posted this story on the Luger forum also, but as we wait for more pics of the P08, here is a pic of the contents of the boxes found. An SS tag was found in this exact area. Look at the zeltbahn, can anyone recognize this? Thanks again for looking Gentlemen!

Forgot to mention that Jan said the Stg 44 magazines were all loaded, and he has been concentrating his time on the Luger, but will get to the mags and K98 eventually. The Stg 44 is out there somewhere. Here is a closeup of the zeltbahn. Thanks again!

Very nice indeed. Nothing can beat the huge kick you get from finding unexpected well preserved items like that P08. My friend and i have joked before when we've been out digging about findind something like a luger or stg44 all wrapped up and greased...and your friend actually went and found one!!

I'm looking forward to seeing just how well it's actually preserved. The fact that he could strip it for cleaning is already a good sign.

Simon, my friend Joseph will post some pics soon. Outside it is not very well preserved, but I like it
To tell the truth my friend who sometimes find the pistols in holster is able ti fire everything after replaceing the springs. P08 which looks like piece of trash, doubled with rust, still can fire because usually internall part are surprisingly well preserved.

Here are more pics, sadly water had entered the ammunition can and the exterior of the P08 has been affected. It is still a beautiful piece, fully matching including Magazine. Here are pics minus the grips. Thansk again for looking!
