Thanks Gentlemen! I assure you as I recieve these pics I wish more than ever to be back there with Jan detecting! But with a family now it is just so difficult to go more than once a year to the homeland. Here are a couple pics I recieved this morning from Jan. The Luger is almost disassembled, only breechlock section and Safety catch still remains. I will take more pics today and post them through my friend

Very nice indeed. Nothing can beat the huge kick you get from finding unexpected well preserved items like that P08. My friend and i have joked before when we've been out digging about findind something like a luger or stg44 all wrapped up and greased...and your friend actually went and found one!!
I'm looking forward to seeing just how well it's actually preserved. The fact that he could strip it for cleaning is already a good sign.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Simon, my friend Joseph will post some pics soon. Outside it is not very well preserved, but I like it
To tell the truth my friend who sometimes find the pistols in holster is able ti fire everything after replaceing the springs. P08 which looks like piece of trash, doubled with rust, still can fire because usually internall part are surprisingly well preserved.
