What is the deal on the GK43 Forum? New member signup as been "temporarily suspended" since May. I have sent a couple of emails to the administrators but I have never received an answer. I have used up all of my "guest looks' so I am done until something moves. Anyone know anything?

I quit going there completely. Apparently that forum is on "life support!"
You may want to try this forum instead as it is oriented towards military rifles:

I'm not sure when you were on the forum, but it has gone through quite a transition....."Hambone" was a moderator there, and often ruffled feathers....He is moderator on gunboards and was a member here to until he was expelled.....Hambone has his cronies, and can berate those he don't like or feel are inferior in their knowledge and experience......
There are still some good and knowledable members on the G/K43 forum, whom I personally wouldn't hesitate to get opinions/advice from......BodesLast edited by bodes; 09-11-2012, 10:21 AM.

Not to get too far OT but take the 40+ years collecting with a grain of salt. I have seen many 30-50+ collectors make horrendous mistakes. I think the sweet spot in collecting is around 20years..
Also, you need to up-date your notes on boner..

Of course one moderator of which was you.....Again, no bias here
Personally I had no run ins with Hambone, however didn't much care for the way he treated some members on a particular forum.....And no, it wasn't the G/K43 forum......Perhaps a little bias here..... Bodes

More like 40-50 year olds..
It really comes down to how tech savvy they are. If they are not on the net, they are loosing ground fast IMO.
I have also thought about the grey hairs.. Who is taking over when they pass?
I feel we will be exporting these guns to their mother country when they are all gone..
