Nice pistol and display I love these old Mausers Is there a stamp in front of the rear sight ? as some of these were issued in WW2. Regards Toby.

Nice 1914 Mauser.
As far as I know the "Germany" stamp means that this pistol was made for sale in the USA market, mostly before WWII. Many of the .30 Commercial Lugers form the 1920s were marked this way.

After rereading my addition, I realised I cocked up and thought it was made in 1914 and also meant to say they were issued for military use in WW1 not WW2 Please forgive a NOOB ( as my wife would say I was having a "blonde" moment ) Regards Toby.
