nice original finish in a fairly desireable czech code w/ only a couple minor flaws. Nice

I agree. I suppose this is open for debate, but I also don't believe the stamped lower band with the milled upper band is what one would expect to see together on a dou 43.

Is not a czech rifle, it was made by slovaks in Povazska Bystrica.

Fairly sure its not matching but that's why I asked. I think you might find a speed milled band but not a milled H band. Stamped H bands are found later...

Nice grouping of what a veteran brought back!

What is the date and maker of the bayonet?

That front band is not on the rifle properly, you can see how it is not aligned with the bayonet lug. And the band spring appears to be pushed under the rear band too far. Looks like it has been like that fior a long time, so hard to tell when it was done. I have seen veteran pieces with parts that they have replaced for one reason or another, or it was just brought home that way.

Thaty's a nice bayonet. I like the early finely machined ones, as well as the late crude ones. Have always been a person of extremes!

Cool photo! Very early Fliegerbluse with an early K98k as well. I wonder if the rifle is Luftwaffe marked.
