    STG 44 what price/value ?

What is the value of a fully working, legal STG 44 (Sturmgehwer) with matching serials and nice deep blueing. No dents or rust.

    Cheers.

Fully legal?? Where can you legally own an assault rifle with 30 round capacity and full auto mode?

As it is now, its semiauto. I had it full auto in Sweden (legaly) but when i moved to Norway i had to set it to semiauto. No limits in my license regarding the magazines.

Any ideas of the value ?

        Thanks.

          No less than...

          Hi Peter,

I think it worths around US$ 12,000.00 or more. At least... as you know it a highly sought gun. But there are so few that even dewat guns are becoming expensive.

          All the best,

          Douglas.

Price of a Stg44 in the USA would be about $7,000-$10,000. The condition you state would probably put it closer to the $10,000 range.
Unfortunately if you have it in Norway right now, there is no way to get it to the USA in once piece!

P08, you can leagally own a class 3 (full auto) firearms in several countries, such as the USA, and as Peter just stated, Sweeden too!

But just to own such guns in America don't you also need a $500 a year licensee?

                  Peter,

Here in Belgium you have to pay between 500 and 1000€. After 89 a lot of this stuff came on the market from eastern Germany (border control).

                  Regards,

                  Frank

Finland is another country "across the boarder" where you can legally own full-autos.

In New Zealand you can also own full-autos and MP-44 sell between US$800-$1200.

US$800-$1200. Are you sure ? Its not the Russian MP 44 i´m talking about. Its the German STG 44 (Sturmgehwer 7.98x33 kurz).
A deactivated STG 44 with non matching serials was just sold in Canada for 1200 US Dollars.

                        Cheers.

                          Value of MP 44/ StG44

In Sweden this gun is worth about 700 Euros - 1000 Euros. Few people can store these guns and meet the safety storing required by law today. Thats why they are so cheap. Fully auto guns in Sweden are not that popular because of this. I bought my MP 44 for approx 600 Euro 5 years ago. Its in very good condition.

In US the prices are just crazy for the cuns you can own legally. The markets are not comparable to any degree any more.

I guess a lot of the guns remaining are converted to semi auto. However my MP 44 will remain fully automatic untill the police comes and knocks on my door!

                          Cheers,

                          Felix

                            Very sure,

I purchased my first MP-44 (7,92x33 Kurz, marked MP-44) at auction 10years ago, paid US$600. And I brought my second one 2 years after that at a show for US$500 (this one was marked MP-43). The last one I saw for sale at a show was US$1200 and that came with 500 rounds of ammo. There's one for sale at an online auction here, but with a reserve of US$2200 it has been passed in already (also it's a semi-auto only).

So its up to each buyer what he/she wants to pay ?
I´m sure i have seen them go for 4000 US Dollars.

                              Cheers.
