I am considering getting a C&R license and was wondering how many of you have their C&R. I had an FFL for seneral years about 25 years ago, but never held the C&R license.
I am particularly intrigued by the fact that, according to the C&R list, there are several machine guns/automatic weapons that can be purchased on the C&R license (i.e.., oroginal 1928 Thompson SMG, MG-34, MG-42, MP-40...all WWII production, of course) I'm sure the prices for the eligible weapons are up there, but such would be the case with any transferable NFA firearms.
Has anyone been able to add any automatic weapons to their collection using a C&R license. I had a legal, live 1928 Thompson and a select fire CAR-15 back in the ealry Eighties, but foolishly sold them and was wondering if the C&R route is a truly viable alternative.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts,
