Hello John,

I don´t want to make you angry of pissed off but the magazine plate doesn´t look a good one. I want to see a stamped BYF code magazine plate with a
135 WAa.

But it´s still a nice piece

Why just a Mauser marked one? I have a dot 1944 ser. no. 7467ab
that has a 214 marked plate and guard. It has been duffel cut but
it is all matching except from the rear band forward. The plate is also
serial no. 7467.

Sorry, but that information is wrong. Your floorplate is perfectly fine for a dot 44. These guns used every different type available- 1 proofed milled, byf stamped, qnw stamped, 214 proofed, etc.

Yep, it's a 5-digit serial. As for your other observations, yep, this model used a wide variety of parts.

I would to see this type of floorplate´s on a late war K98 type.

Rifle is a 5 digit but floorplate has the last 2 numbers.

Your photo shows the correct serial number for mid to late byf43 and early byf44 rifles.
