    It's tough to place a value on a gun without seeing it. For instance, a holster could be worth from $150 to $600 depending on the the date, code and condtion. Minor problems with a pistol can really knock down the value.

    But, assuming reasonable condition, the rig should be worth from $1500 to $1800. That's without seeing it. It could be worth a bit less or some more. If it happened to have black plastic grips that are real, it could be worth several hundred $$$ more.

    BTW, the bright bodied mags were nickel plated steel but had aluminum bottoms.

      From what I have seen in most online auctions the average price for a matching one with 80+ blue is $1600 (mauser 42)
