    A nice gun.

    The hats are also very neat.

    Question....does the photo accurately show the actual color finish on this gun?

    Looks strange to me.....but that can be the challenge of photography!

      Thanks for the kind words, yes that's the colour the hats are from the twenties and belonged to the fellow uncle who took the photos.

        Fine looking Thompson, arguably the most recognizable weapon on the planet. As you mentioned you wanted to learn all you can, the "L" drum is possibly not an original. I f you look at the drum reverse, there is a solid metal disc in the center. As I understand, the originals have about a 1/4 inch hole in the center. Also, I learned recently the internal workings on the drums should be greased, that requires a special device. Just curious, can you legally own full auto in Canada?

          Hi Lon,thanks for the insight on the drum.Yes you can own fully automatic firearms but you had to have a full auto licence before 1978. after that no more were issued.
