Here is my latest find. A 98 k DOT 1944 all matching. Stock and handguard are also marked DOT as well as H for Heer and acceptance eagle. These particular made 98's are actually quite common, but the condition of this one is very nice. The bore looks unfired, and the firing pin hole on the bolt face has (NO) primer ring!
The former owner supposedly used this rifle to hunt deer for many years. Jeff A
