      the mag catch is a Quality Hardware & Machine Co. M1 carbine coded part it wouldn't be correct for the vintage. it is nice in that the early trigger housing pin with the integeral spring is still intact on the carbine. i think you have a nice candidate for a restoration it only requires a few parts and if you look around you may be able to score a correct highwood stock for it without spending a fortune on it.
