I would go as far as to say that finish looks like cold blue. My experience over the last 10 years is that fantastic close up color photos of items that I see on the web are often harder for me to evaluate accurately than a tiny B&W photo in a printed catalog when I was buying stuff 40 years ago! Go figure.

I think Phild is right on. I thought it looked THAT funky, when I read his posting, it clicked like a light switch.
