    New Assault Weapon Ban Coming

Read it and weep fellers. The reasons given this time are: Mexicans upset that guns are being smuggled into their country, and of course "cop killer" bullets something or other, blah blah blah.

It will not pass. We must be vigilant but posts like this will only heighten the panic buying that is the reason that many of us cant get a lower or an upper for an AR or an AK parts kit. I am pretty much fed up with people buying ten uppers at a time. This wont help. Most of the dems elected this election season are pro gun dems and will at least attempt to protect our rights.

Dream on. A new ban will happen and there is no such thing as a "pro gun Democrat".

I think you need to give Michael Phelps his bong back. The Attorney General of the United States has announced his intention so posts like yours, that we have nothing to really worry about, and pro-gun Dems are looking out for gun owners, are truly myopic. This isn't leftist rhetoric on the part of AG Holder, it is unsurprising talk of another gun ban based on what is happening in Mexico. This clown should be demanding a wall be built on the border to preclude the crime he is lamenting but true to his politics, he is blaming the gun.

What a BOOB Holder is!! Good God almighty why are we to worry about the Mexican Cartels ****ing problems! I am sick of these clowns and I am buying as many uppers and lowers as I can afford as we speak, as I am quite sure they are NOT going to end up in ANOTHER country wreaking havoc with shytebags that should not be breathing in the first place.

Pelosi tosses cold water on assault weapon ban

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tossed cold water on the prospect of reinstating the assault weapons ban, highlighting Democrats’ reluctance to take on gun issues.

Attorney General Eric Holder raised the prospect Wednesday that the administration would push to bring back the ban. But Pelosi (D-Calif.) indicated on Thursday that he never talked to her. The Speaker gave a flat “no” when asked if she had talked to administration officials about the ban.

“On that score, I think we need to enforce the laws we have right now,” Pelosi said at her weekly news conference. “I think it's clear the Bush administration didn’t do that.”

Outside of the dig at the recent Republican president, that phrase is the stock line of those who don’t want to pass new gun control laws, such as the National Rifle Association.

The White House declined to comment on Holder's remarks, referring reporters to the Department of Justice. The DoJ did not respond to The Hill's request for comment.

Same kind of actions are visible here in Finland. After school shooting last year, politicians have planned since to make handguns illegal. Now it seems they will allow handguns, but getting one is made much more harder. Now buyer needs certificate of mental health from doctor and two different interviews from police.

New restrictions will be tacked on to other important bills. That is the way they do it, not with an omnibus anti-gun bill.

Never trust ANY politician, Democrat OR Republican. They will all sell you out for a shiney new dime.

Sorry you cant do it! I have mine coming in tomorrow. There are plenty of them out there if you look, they are just WAY behind on production due to such high demand.

I strongly disagree with you Josh. A lot of dems did learn that anti-gun stances were bad for them, however, look at the leadership.
Look at Obamas past statements on firearms, look at the history of Rahm Emmanuel and Eric Holder, our new Attorney General. Consider the legislation and mentality that comes out of California politics, then look no further than Nancy Pelosi. Right now there is some serious distractions with the economy, but this issue will rear it's ugly head. Also be prepared for "back door" legislation while everyone is focused on the economy.
The last thing to consider.....Supreme Court Nominations. I'm buying now while the getting's good. Change is here, and it's not pretty for gunowners.

I live not far from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. The police department was killed in an RPG7 attack. Now the Federales are running the show, in complete cooperation with the drug and human smugglers. You see, the late police chief of Nogales was anti drug and human smuggling. Now he is dead, with the rest of the police. Nogales is off limits to the US Army personnel and the State Department has issued a 'no travel advisory' to Nogales.

I doubt any local gun dealer sold those RPG7s to the drug dealers in Nogales. Perhaps the US should find out which terrorist organization is responsible. Oh, wait....they might resist so the Justice Department will just make it harder for US citizens to own guns. THEY won't resist. Smart fellows in the Justice Department.

Agreed, GWA this is a very naive view of INDIVIDUAL politics of a congressman, or women, which means squat when the bills are slipped through and pressure is brought to bear to pass a piece of legislation. It appears the young Joshua has much to learn about the way that Congress passes legislation.
