          Nice one but it's not a M1914 but a M1934 with commercial proofs, very commonly used by the WH,SS,etc...
          Seems that it has seen heavy use and very little original finishing remains.

            thanks for your prompt reply!
            I really believed it was a 1914, as the rear sight straight down from the top show the same markings as Ron's gun pictured here:

            What makes the difference? Sorry but I haven't got a clue about those things

              I think it is a M1914 indeed mostly because of the straight grip and serial number.

                I read 570xxx and not 370xxx in the serial number.....sorry
                Probably made in the early 30's
