I would pass......there are better examples in the 700.00 to 900.00 range.A true collector would be looking to upgrade asap.

Actually 700 would be a good price for a non import in this condition. 800 would not be too far out there either. 900 would be too much.

I agree. You just don't see nice non-import examples for under the numbers cited above.

I would not go over $500 on this one. There are to many scaps from rust on the slide and barrel. I fyou do not have a special date or maker there are a lot of byf44s that are nicer for a equal price.

Looks pretty good to me. What is the proof mark on the frame? It doesn't look like an "eagle/359". If it's an "eagle/140" , then that would be a Browning frame, and I would say, "buy it!" Tough to find Browning frames these days.
