My sentiments exactly! The devil as they say is in the details.

Matt, I stand corrected it is indeed an eagle over 140

Wha would a correct magazine be for this AC44? should it just be an eagle 359, or an eagle 359 with a serial number as well?

Walther stopped putting the serial # on mags after 1942.359/eagle, no serial #, would be standard issue for an AC 44.

With the Browning frame how much would this P-38 be worth? How much of a premium for the frame?

AN exc. condition e/140 ac44 recently sold for 1100.00 by a reputable dealer.I am not able to rate your pistol, but the "NRA excellent" e/140 ac44 pistol was really nice 98% with no issues.

There is a lot of difference between upper and what you have. The cancer on the barrel brings down the price. The e/140 adds $200 to the price. Anything over $800 do not hesitate and walk away.

This example is for sale at $675. I am not sure that I want to pay that much for it. Not a bad handgun though. Thanks for the help.

I would buy it, considering the fact that it has a Browning frame. It makes it an interesting variation. The price is nice in this particular case.
