hey Guys, Glenn here. I always try to look up the info before I ask questions as many times you can find them in the archives. maybe Im not typing in the key words for my specific questions. hopefully someone out there can help unravel My mystery as Im looking to do a G43 ensemble in the near future. first question; was the common Heer frontliner that was issued a G43 equipped also with a bayonet to carry on Him at all times? second, I heard that each soldier was only issued 1 G43 pouch and the other was the standard K98 pouch. is this correct or were they issued 1 or 2 of the G43 pouches depending on availability? I dont want to obtain 2 if this was not the typical case of issue. any info/comments/pics (that would be great) would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. Glenn

G43
Ditto on the one pouch (with the 98K being the secondary pouch), if you are serious about getting further in depth with the G43 go to the aforementioned website.
Also pick up a copy of Hitler's Garand's by Darrin Weaver.
One more site...http://claus.espeholt.dk/
From there you'll have links to more....Chris...
