I think Bill Grist has one of these, and has posted photos of it. I'll look in the archives and see what I can find....

God, can you imagine what it must have been like holding onto one of these monsters when you lit it off???!!

      Hi,
Fantastic weapon would love to own one,?
Ade are you sure about them being for sale in England or were they deacts? as i think that they are not aloud in the UK as they contravene the armour defeating clause unless I'm wrong.

Hi Merdock, one was certainly de-act. The other, but don't quote me on this, was allowed to be held live as it was an obsolete calibre?

Anti Tank rifles are certainly not banned in the UK as such, because a friend of mine has just got a ticket for a 14.5mm PTRD. Several people own .55 Boyes too.

        Cheers, Ade.

          Hi,
Thanks for the info Ade would really like a WW2 one but most seem to have been converted to target rifles, different areas do have different rules but i thought that any armour defeating weapons was banned in a live state?
          Thanks Merdock

There is certainly a group for A/T rifle shooters here in the UK see here:

            http://www.antitank.co.uk/index.htm

            But there are restrictions.

            Cheers, Ade.

What's the crack with small calibre (small as in A/T rifles like the Boyes etc or aircraft cannon rather than tank/PAK type rounds etc) inert A/T rounds? I'm sure I read somewhere that the smaller A/T rounds, even if inert/deact were a dodgy to own in the UK if they still had the proper A/T projectile? Is this right?
