k98k unknow barrel code...
Who know wath is this mark or code?????? Excuse my English, I don’t speack English, only Italian, I’m sorry.
I send to you two designs that I have made, they are two particular of the barrel and of the combustion chamber with this unknow marks of one k98k rfle.
Mainly I would want to understand that he means the W to the inside of the two circles that seem a gun view-finder.
The rifle is one k98k with code bnz 43, and with 79((W))Bö(o with umlaot) mark on barrel, I think that could cam from the concentration camps Austrians perhaps , and above all I think that it could be belonged to the waffen SS.
I think that 79 is the seriale number barrel of production, or I think that is the calibre 7.92 mm abbreviation.
I know that bnz is Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G., Steyr from Osterreich, but I don’t know if on the barrel there is, or not there is the single rune, because I do not have to disposition this rifle, is not mine, ill-fatedly .
I know that BÖ on barrel, near the W in two circles with number 79, is the manufacturies barrel, that is Böhler fabrik Austrian.
But I don’t know what is the “W” in two circles, this is a question!!!!!!!!!!!!!
