I have seen one of these at a gunshow once. Were these made at a North Vietnamese factory or were these all made just by a bunch of VC tinkerers?

              Hello Josh,

These pistols, rifles, and also sub-machine guns were made underground in tunnels. The VC had several if not hundereds of extensive and elaborate underground complexes. Including factories, hospitals, etc. etc.

The tunnel system began during W.W.2 when French Indo-China was occupied by the Japanese. Resistance fighters fought a guerrilla war against the Japs, just as they did against the French, and later the U.S. Allied forces.

Hope this answers your question. The history of the Vietnam tunnel systems could fill and whole book!

              Regards,
              Howard

                  Good Luck!

I've only seen one for sell during the past ten years of doing gun & military shows.

Mine was given to me by one of my HEROS! One hell of a great MARINE!

                  Cheers,

Thank you both for posting these very rare pistols. I had heard of them, but never have seen one. These must be the rarest of the rare, when it comes to NVA and VC firearms.

I cannot begin to imagine the production difficulties with having to manufacture firearms in an underground facility.

                    Not pretty but VERY HISTORIC!!!!!!!!!!!

                            Hi Bob,

It's an ugly chunk of metal!

I shouldn't have done this.......but I actually took it out and tried it out.
Talk about a harry experience! It barks like a Rottweiler! For safety concerns I will NEVER shoot it again!

                            Best Regards,
                            Howard

                              Good question?

                              Maybe for issuing purposes?

Or to document who might have been killed by a faulty weapon?

Maybe someone else might have the answer?

                              Thanks,
                              Howard
