      Yes, you are almost correct. It is pre-war ammo. Tough to find in its 300-round battle pack, especially SmK tracer.

        I was going through my ammo the other day and got this pack out again. The bullets are magnetic. The cases are all bright and shiny. Since the guy I got it from opened it for some reason, I'm guessing a lot of the collector value is gone. The problem I have is this: it's driving me nuts trying to keep from firing a little to see how/or if it still shoots. Several guys told me the tracer part of the bullet is degraded to the point it won't light, leaving the rounds AP only. Have any of you folks you shot any of this ammo? If so, was the accuracy decent? I have seen a few identical battle packs at gun shows over the last 4-5 years. Maybe a cache of this was found somewhere not too long ago? Anyhow, thank you all for reading this!
