Well that pin does not look messed with. How about the other side of the pin. Any evidence of barrel changing?
    best wishes,

So how much does a semi-automatic MP44 cost?

Looks like a nice piece. I have a question myself. Were all the stocks numbered to the guns? Thanks, DEL

          Looks fine to me.

As others have pointed out, MP44s were produced using parts manufactured by subcontractors. Add to that the fact that it was a late-war weapon produced under a good deal of duress.

Looks like a nice original MP44 to me. The barrel pin definitely looks untouched.

          Congratulations!

            Thanks to everybody!

Seems that I'm very lucky, the pin on both sides seems untouched. Now with the mp44 the problem is not the price instead some laws have changed in some countrys and now is very difficult to obtain one semiauto mp44.Thanks again

              Hi Mallorca!

Rest assured. There is probably nothing wrong with the barrell. I have a MP43/1 with the same features. Reason is that one of the MP43/MP44/STG44 manufacturers didn't mark their barrels with serial numbers. The number is a lot-number from the barrel maker. My Mp43/1 is all matching except for the barrel, so I had to find out! (3 Famous old groouse out in the evening I can't remember which manufacturer...).
All weapons from the STG family left the factory with matching numbers (unless Bubba assembled them!). XX-out numbers means postwar force-fitting by East Germany/ Cz /Yugo armies. Re-struck numbers same.

Bergflak, maybe you can answer my question that I had posted on this thread. Were all the stocks serial numbered on the MP43 ,STG44 to the gun? Also a few years back I remember seeing some parts for sale at a gun show. I think it was the bolt or some other internal part that looked like it had an engraved serial number on it. Could this be possible? Thanks, DEL

Hi Del, usually the stocks were numbered(stamped) on the bottom of the stock metal. The part that fits over the receiver. If you see big numbers stamped into the side of the wood this was done post war. Bolts and op rods were engraved with the serial number. Hope this helps.
                    best wishes,
