    The pistol has two matching mags by the way, here is one of them. I wanted to get an idea of the pistol's value without factoring in the mags; there is also a softshell holster dated 1944 that the pistol came in.

      700 pistols were only accepted to the Wehrmacht in 1942, but much more were made. Mauser had a very high rejection rate due to quality at the time, like 7 to 1. Also slide production outpaced barrel production. byf42 marked slides were used well into 1943 production. I think highest reported serial with byf42 slide is in 9000 "C" block range.
      Nevertheless, still scarce compared to byf43 and 44 and much more desirable.
