Just at 1 MOA. The scope is a standard 4x Bundeswehr Hensoldt (more like a "marksman" scope), so that along with a lousy trigger, can't offer much better results.

Nothing like my Sako TRG with 175gr FGMM, a Schmidt & Bender 5 - 25x, and a trigger pull at 20 ounces. 1/8" 3-shot group.

Yes, SilencerCo is my favorite too. I had a baffle strike last November with an Omega and a ASR mount on my HK91, and they replaced all the inner components as well as the end cap.

        Here is my Osprey 45 I use on .45 1911s, 9mms (VP9, P-230), and my Sig MPX-K.
This is a nice setup here. How do you find this in terms of performance and sound. I am looking at the new B&T 45 carbine and it will be the first .45 suppressed unit. I used to have a lot of this material but its been some time.

        That sig is sharp.

I have four silencers for the K98k and one for the MP40, all from WWII period (as well as Soviet BRAMIT M.91/30 silencer)

The few I have for modern rifles are PBS-1 for AK47, MAC and Mauser 66 SP.

Pretty nice group. The bolt in these rifles is a bit radical while going into battery. I always wondered how this might affect match ammo without a military crimp.

                Is the Sako a .300 or .338?

Would never waste match ammo in a HK91 series. Rough on brass, just not meant for precision shooting without modifications. The only semis I use match ammo are my Super Match M1A and a couple of Armalite Match AR-10s.

                    My Sako is a .308.

For as complicated as all that is, it must certainly be a genuine labor of love and appreciation to be an owner of one of these devices. I can recall the effort I was facing long ago - to transfer an MP38/40 from a friend. Sounds very much the same. At the time, I was young - and it seemed too complicated and costly. Guess I didn't have the same amount of love and appreciation for things as I do today.

Phenomenal group in that Sako Willi! I have a TRG-42 in .338 Lapua and it shoots the same. Sako makes incredible guns. As far as the HK91 a one inch group with one of those with the old Hensoldt is some mighty fine shooting IMO.
                          Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

I use a subsonic 147gr 9mm round, and with a 4.4" barrel it still requires some light ear protection. But, it is smooth and accurate.

Will have to check out the B&T, as I would like to have a .45 carbine.

Jeff, I recall you had a TRG in .338. A lot of blast from that round. Yes, the TRGs are out-of-box a perfect set-up. I use a custom 6.5 Creedmoor rifle for matches, and I can not get the group size of a TRG. The round is, however, better in the wind beyond 800 yards than any .308.

On the HK once you master that long hard trigger, and stop just before it breaks, you can control it slightly better. Yes, the Hensoldt with that standard heavy German sniper scope center post doesn't help either.

No problem N.C. Wyeth. I appreciate the "thanks".

Exactly. Same process. Best advice I was ever given on waiting for a transfer is pay/file and forget about it. What's nice is that $200 tax hasn't changed since that whole Registry started. $200 isn't as much as it was 20 or 30 years ago, so it takes a little bit of the sting out. Still not pocket change though. On a $500 rimfire suppressor...$200 is a little bit to swallow. Just going in you always keep that $200 in mind.

While I don't agree with the Constitutionality of the NFA and the Sin Tax - which is exactly what it is. That $200 tax in the 30's was the equivalent of $3,000 today....I don't like the idea of spending time in Federal Prison, and losing what rights I think I have.

Same here. Now that I'm more patient...those items I was looking at when I was younger are more scarce and costly. That MP38/40 would cost quite a bit more nowadays. Last transferable one I saw was north of 16k. Was a nice, all matching amnesty gun. Course asking price and selling price don't always come close. Shoot...the "cheapest" transferable (MACs, Sten tube kit guns and the like) run around 7 or 8k.

What's nice about the suppressor route is that for the time being they are still being manufactured and available for folks that can pass the same background requirements as owning a pistol. And live in a State that allows them. Not a fixed supply like the Transferable MGs. So prices are fairly reasonable for what you get.

Not too late to get into the game N.C.! I don't know your shooting habits/preferences, but if your going to get just one suppressor, consider a Rimfire can. So addictive. Rimfire and subs are so much fun. Though those rimfires are dirty little birdies...so get ready to clean a lot.

If you do have any more questions on taking the plunge, feel free to reach out to me. Always happy to get good fellows into NFA items. Take care.
