I would unscrew the pommel and check if the grip has a wooden core, by the look of the squared off angles at the top and bottom i would be surprised if it has, a lack of a wooden core is an indication it is post war. This company produced lots of examples of this dagger in the 60s.

Russ may have a point. The first time I saw this was in 1969. If they were being reproduced in the mid 60's, this could be one. I did remove the pommel and although it is green and gunky, it does not have a wood core.

Then the grip tells the tale. It is hard to discern these C&J examples if constructed from leftover wartime parts. The pommel & crossguard detail alone were enough to sway me. This is a good learning thread.

This thread is a prime example of how this forum helps collectors to determine originality of many daggers.

Thanks to Larry for clearing up the grip question.

And to Kris, showing his C&J, which appears to be a period assembled example.

For what it’s worth I have a vets son acquired example which came with a Km sextant ,bulk head clock and Zeiss 7x50 h binoculars
Apart from mine having a standard looking grip it looks identical to the posted example

                Sorry the second one
Bad eyes and an iPhone not the best combination for looking at daggers
I have not owned a Km with a solid white grip I always assumed they were at best replacements
