i would just like to show my Eichorn Police bayonet i recently added to my collection.Do's any body know the unit markings.

Not sure about the bayonet, but the frog is a known reproduction. If you search the forum you can find a few examples with the BAM 9 30 mark and some WWI dates. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=bam+30+frog and http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=809892 for example.

The frog was something i had already ,which i have always thought was wrong,i just put the bayonet it in it for effect for now...Thanks Rob

Marking on bayonet scabbard means Berlin police administration, unit 2725. Judging by the photos bayonet blade and scabbard are mismatching.
For bayonet frog I agree with previous statement - it is reproduction.

The crossguard appears to have had a unit marking at one point but then it was removed by sanding/grinding. I've seen this before, sometimes old Weimar unit marking were literally "x"ed out as well.

I would agree that the fact the scabbard is unit marked to a Schutzpolizei unit in Berlin & the bayonet crossguard has had its marking redacted means it's probably a mismatched pair. We collectors see this often enough as well. It affects the value slightly but not dramatically.

Overall, the bayonet looks nice enough. Slotted examples are a little scarce to find & these double oval Eickhorns were very well made. My only suggestion is to lose the reproduction frog & get a real one with knot on there.
