    Could be, however it seems to be in line with other examples of the Model 1861 (of which I believe there are a number of variants), that I've found on line...

      A large number of Austro-hungarian sabres M1861 was manufactured in Germany, mainly due to a lack of local Austro-hungarian blade production capacity.
      The same was happened with bayonets also.

        It would be nice to have exact dimmension and pictures of blade lenght, thickness, width etc, but the blade is too heavy for austrian M1861, same as the scabbard is not of M1861 type.
