    Sure, of course, the brutality suffered by memorabilia under the hands of souvenir hunters is legendary...but how many vets could properly retie a KM knot or be bothered to?

      sorry to go on but its not a km acorn its a heer or luftwaffe acorn
      and appears to be made of a different material to the nylon km cord
      i gues the original acorn was damaged and was swaped post war

        lots its a simple reef knot probably retied by whoever put the acorn on the cord

          Nickn is right, but sometimes we see derogation from this rule. Nothing is always 100%.
