    Is these one dress bayonet is rather etched, than engraved?

      KS98 is in combat frog for 84/98 does not belong with KS 98 you often see this as GIs didn't know the difference in dress frogs and combat ones. timothy

        The pattern for Panzer Abw 25 is shown on Wayne Techet's book on page 181 and is correct.

        The lack of maker mark along with the 'SOLINGEN' is also correct. In fact, you can see this exact etched bayonet on page 252 of Wayne's book.

            This exact etch is found in Techet's book on page 181.. and it says 'Panzer Abw. 25'.

            Neither side etch pattern is in the Holler catalogue.

            Actually, both etches along with the 'Solingen' and no other maker mark are found pictured in Wayne's book on page 252.

            I see nothing, besides condition, that I can find fault with on the etches.
