              i dont like the knot it looks modern not a real problem it can be taken off

                I'm afraid that this is a parts dagger. The blade is a repro, other parts appear to be original, except the portepee of course.

                  I forgot to mention that this knot and dagger came to me from Thomas M. Johnson many years ago. As we know he has written a lot of books on the daggers and accouterments of the third Reich.

                      For me it is classic Horster. The more brown copper scabbard and fittings, springy wire on the grip. And as mentioned, knot added later

                        I like the dagger , but I would loose the portepee . Doesnt look period and definatly doesnt match the look of the otherwise nice dagger .
