The dagger is still in the mail. The fittings look like the early nickel silver type to me. I'll post a few close ups when it arrives. This is the hewer that also came from the same source.

This RAD is an attractive piece, no doubt, though it looks to me like the scabbard body has been repainted and the entire set -- hewer and scabbard -- have been gone over to remove scratches. The hanger is a nice addition, but it does make the hewer and scabbard look the more obviously retouched, given it's roughness when compared with the smooth, like-new condition of the set otherwise, whether or not it is original to the set.

Once again, great looking Sauer! I have one in great shape like this one too, these guys made a quality dagger that held up very well, I think the lacquer these guys used really protected the scabbard anodizing!..here it is for comparison..

By the way, what is the maker on the RAD? Kevin.

The hewer is by E.D. Wusthof. Any other opinions about the hewer?
