Good day Gentlemen
I picked up this bayonet last night. from a vet's family. Interestingly it was found in a drawer and none of the family had ever seen it before. I doubt it has been taken out of it's scabbard for many years and is very tight. Also as you can see from one of the pics the handle was stuck to the frog and some of the polish has come away and is stuck to the handle.
Great makers mark. I'm not a bayonet man so have not seen this logo before on a parade bayonet. A nice surprise when I pulled it out of the scabbard.
Question - it is very tight in the scabbard. Is there a good way of easing it slightly? Oil, Renwax or similar perhaps.
Many thanks
James
