If you compare the hangers shown by you to the set on the dealers site, you will find many differences.

Mike, just have a look at the lower round buckle. You have to see the clear difference. It is just my oppinion.

(According to my oppinion - there were also not sewn together in the middle, however there were together. )

                    hanger differences

                    Hello
Sorry but I see no great difference in the round buckles except color, can you be specific as to what you see different?
The seam you see sewn is up the rear side where they are sewn togeather, this is the only place there is stitching in the center?
I would also suspect there were different makers and each would exhibit slight differences in the way they were made, see the differences in the two types shown in the photos, the one with the dagger is a very used set and the bottom hooks are different from the other hangers pictures bottom hooks. There's something different right there and those are being touted as originals.
                    thanks again

These type of copies are often seen for sale out of Germany, the seller makes a variety of different hangers, mostly naval, frequently sold on eBay at bargain prices.

Period hangers were not made with thin leather folded over and sewn on the reverse. I have a similar fake set for HJ leader with the same strap construction. When compared to genuine hangers, these are not even close, many errors I'm afraid.

                        I Stand Corrected

                        Gentleman
Well I must stand corrected. Did the obvious smelled the leather straps and guess what? There is a ever so slight leathery smell so I will assume they are current replacements with original hardware, easier now to believe they are made-up especially when they came directly from Solingen Germany. This goes to say there probably are still some orig. parts floating around that dagger town or some clever fellow has had some made up.
Again I stand corrected for trying to defend thesem amde up very rare dagger hangers, guess I just wanted them to be real so they might enhance my dagger.
                        thanks again

                            Hi Mike,

I'm afraid there is no original hardware used in these repro hangers, the seller claims that he has original dies etc. You may find this thread of interest:
