I purchased these two daggers quite some time ago and am considering selling one of them. I know the one with the black sheath is an NSKK and the brown is an SA. I looked up the RZM codes online and believe the NSKK is an Eickhorn and the SA is made by C. D. Schaaf.
Before I list one of these for sale I wanted to ask about the dagger assembly. The handles on both wiggle a bit as do the top crossguards.
Also, the handle on the SA dagger has a bit of space on both sides between the wood and the crossguard and the eagle on the SA dagger is raised above the wood whereas the NSKK is flush with the wood.
Are these things signs of age and wear or is it more likely these daggers were pieced together sometime after the war?
I want to be as honest and accurate as possible when I decide to sell one of these.
THANKS!
