Billy, I checked his return address on the fake hangers and he hails from Celle, Germany which is near Hannover, which is where he claimed he bought the hangers from a dealer there
Ed, with clever photographs it is easy to hide the telltale details. The daggers are easier to spot, but I have seen these discussed here and on GD before receiving positive opinion from experienced collectors based on the pics submitted. Imperial daggers are probably easier to fake as they are rarer and collectors tend to be less experienced in knowing what to look for. He is bold enough to place his wares next to reference books for comparison. His TR daggers are quite easy to spot as they use the wrong hardware, scabbard bands, etc, but I have to say his blade etching detail is pretty good...
The hangers are 100% fake, there is no real hardware used at all, but from the pics he posts they look pretty accurate, the detail pics I took show the flaws clearly, but this is not what buyers see.

You're quite correct that he refers to the 2nd one as "authentic". He also refers to the 1st one as "real". This seems to signal a shift in his line of crap but I presume he will still snooker most of his buyers with the come-on price & some fancy shots of Vic Diehl's book as a backdrop. Frankly I'm surprised he offers a 7 day return policy.Comment

Although I thought the hangers looked correct, if these were purchased from Porschezelt then I would have to revise my earlier statement to reflect their source.
In all the listings of the previously mentioned seller with four Eban IDs, I have never seen any item that looked completely correct, specifically the daggers. The sheer number of questionable items sold by this seller should be ebough in itself to alert the average collector that something is afoot.
The daggers sold by Porschezelt & the others identities are all bad, no question whatsoever, so I would seriously question anything sold by him especially in light of the fact all his hangers & knots are sold at 1/3 of their relative value.
In fact, I spoke with another collector who also purchased a set of KM hangers suspecting they were bad. He was impressed at the overall quality of the hangers but was still sure they were of modern production after an in-hand inspection. I'm curious if the fabric reacts to blacklight at all but even if it doesn't I would still be quite skeptical of anything from this seller.Comment

No, the fabric does not glow under blacklight. I checked that.
I was thinking a bit about this situation. Is it possible that they are using old sources of material, maybe unfinished old parts etc?
Apart of a bit shorter long hanger, fabric looks 100% original. Stitches are very eneven, hand sewn for sure, but it would be even easier to make machine sewn ones just like it's on original I also have , with aluminum parts.
I will take a closer look into the stuff today, so I'll present my results here later...Comment

Yes, of course. Some materials do not use bleeches in the manufacturing process.
Also, the edges look a bit different to me, so I'll make some macros to proof that.
