Awesome dagger and great timing. This morning while reading Wittmans Exploring the Dress Daggers and Swords of the German SS on Page 294 there is a picture an SS dagger case with a plaque "The placque indicates a presentation from Himmler to SS General Heissmeyer on 1 Nov,1938"
Is your dagger missing a case??? It would be pretty cool to have both!!!!

I saw that it was an Honor dagger but he stated the case was not original to that dagger.
