SA Klaas transitional double marked Mint

[LH 600]

Well folks.

here is a nice to Mint quite rare SA made up by Klaas as you can see in the pics. The dagger have a Short hangar.
The blade is Pure mint as new. The rest of the dagger is also very nice. I think i not will find better trans SA by this maker.

I have many early SA into my collection. I have work hard to find a dagger like this. Finally its here

really nice daggers, I would really like to add a transitional to my collection, I just have not seen many nice ones like this. Do the transitional daggers usually cost more than an early due to rarity?

They should not cost more than maker marked ones, but I agree there are not too many transitionals for sale nowadays.

Correct. There used to be plenty around but never a lot. Then a few years ago collectors realized that there was only a few companies that marked their daggers in the 'Dual code'. (Some say it was the companies that refused to take their name off their product by skirting the regulations just adding the RZM code also) This also lasted a short time until eventually all had to go to only RZM ID's.

So collectors have been buying these up and for good reason.
Due to Transitional Collector popularity there has been a rarity makers list in circulation also. Rating starting with #1 for most common, and #5 for rare.
These #5 transitionals are more scarce IMO than many 'rare' rated early maker maked SA daggers.

Hi Red Baron.

Yes in this quality they cost more. Its very hard to find a Klaas in this condition.
