I can only offer my opinion - worth what you're paying for it It's a private-purchase pocket-knife or utility-knife of some sort. I'm not sure what period it's from. It does share manufacturing characteristics of gravity knives and boot-knives of the 3rd Reich period, but it seems to be less combat-oriented and more utility oriented. Hope that helps!
