      Here's an update

Here's an update on what my collection looks like now. I have added several pieces and re-organized my collection into two shelves. Hope you like it.

Basically, I have the following (from left to right)

      1x Fireman's Axe
2x Short dress bayonets (narrow fullers, double edged tips)
1x Short dress bayonet (wide fuller, standard tip)
      2x Long Fireman bayonets
1x Short Fireman bayonet (narrow fuller, double edged tip)
1x Double etched dress bayonet (Wine and Oak Leaves Pattern- WKC)
1x Long dress bayonet (wide fuller, standard tip)
2x Long dress bayonets (narrow fullers, double edged tips)
2x HJ Knives (one early transitional, other RZM)

Currently awaiting a delivery from Wittmann - Short fire bayo with narrow fuller and standard tip

Additionally, there are some badges and a sharpened and overpolished fire bayo on the second shelf. All the scabbards are also on the second shelf. My favorite propaganda posters from the Sudetenland and a newspaper article from the day Hitler died can be seen there too.

                  Thanks

Thanks a lot guys. I am very happy you like my modest collection I am kinda tight on money lately but this hobby is too addicting for this to be a real problem.

                      Update

Here's my collection enriched by a short fire bayonet (quite unique) which has a narrow fuller and a standard tip, not double edged. It is marked LH and has an iron body and has high quality plating compared to later pieces.

                        Neat

I hope that bayo doesnt sleep in that position near the stairs!! hehe

I like what youve done with the ost medal, very cool way to display medals.
                        Keep it up !

                            Jan,

Great addition to your collection. I had a discussion with Tom about that very piece when he initially listed it. Although I thought it possible it was some sory of distributor marking, it's more likely a personalization of the original owner. The pommel & crossguard look like typical early Eickhorn craftmanship. Well done my friend.
