From the pic the fit looks good.
These are not my thing though, just thought if it was way off it might help to make your minds up about the scabbard being original to the dagger.

Does not matter if the scabbard to crossguard fit is good on this dagger, as said before its an Eickhorn scabbard with thicker throat lip, its a mismatched dagger imo, take a look at my link i provided for you to view the correct Henckels throat lip thickness Vs the thicker Eickhorn lip !

Otherwise all scabbards are generic with minor differences. Henckels used one of those generic scabbards.

I measured 2 Eickhorn Rohm SA daggers, a transitional Eickhorn SS, an early Boker SS, an early H&F Lauterjung SA, and an RZM NSKK M7/13 (Arthur Schuttelhofer) that I pulled out and they are all measured 2mm on digital vernier calipers with very little variation. I dont have an Eickhorn RZM (M7/66) to compare. One thing that I did observe is that all the Eickhorns were wider (overhanging the top fitting) than the others compared. This has made some interesting research for me.

Just my opinion but this wave of....this is a parts dagger because it has a part made by so and so and so and so never so in so....is not really accurate. Now I admit before everybody got wise and started looking at who made what there was a lot of parts swapping going on but I also believe it may have happened more than you would think pre May 45. Back in my youth I worked for a farm equipment manufacture and we regularly would get parts form other manufacturers if we ran short on parts we made and they did the same from us. I would bet anything that the dagger manufactures did the same and I believe it is even documented so I wouldn't discount a dagger just because it had a part from a different company.

Russ, when it comes to SA/NSKK daggers my interests are transitional and RZM daggers only. Pack did not make RZM SA daggers so I can't say whether or not their scabbards have any distinctive features. Most scabbards look more or less the same. There are very few makers that used distinctive scabbards. I know only two of such makers: Eickhorn and F.Herder and I'm talking about RZM daggers only.
