      Nice original transitional.

        The scabbard has been swapped. This is an Eickhorn scabbard, Henckels never used such scabbards.

            Thick top throat plate was used on scabbards with Eickhorn daggers only. Otherwise all scabbards are generic with minor differences. Henckels used one of those generic scabbards.

                  Indeed the upper part of the scabbard (throat) is slightly thicker on the Eickhorm.... Now we should see if Eickhorn has not supplied other manufacturers...

                  If other people could contribute by giving their opinions ????
