2 SS Daggers Numbered on Crossguard

    I would trust numbers not to an officer more but I don't like these. Especially the "7." The only daggers that I have seen with the numbers from the same die set have been for LSSAH. And in that case they are all from the same maker as well as have the same distribution numeral.

      There are so many variations in SS-daggers number patterns, that it is impossible to tell which are period and which are not!
      It is as simple as that!

      The 2 shown above were NOT made with the same stamps: just look at the "7" and the "8", the only 2 mutual numbers: if you look closely, they are very different!
      So that is a good sign, next to the fact that the numbers were not attributed to an SS-officer.

      Most Klaas M33 bear a number, which is also a positive sign for the earlier one.

      In my opinion, one should never pay extra for a number on an SS-dagger.
