There is a Landesschuetzen Battalion 826 but i assume has no link to La Panne, otherway there is a leichte Flak Abteilung 826 too.

Perhaps thinking of the invasion of Russia on the 22nd of June 1941 (?), the Belgium army surrendered on the 28th of May in 1940. For somebody theoretically in the German Wehrmacht in March of 1941 they would have to have ordered the item sometime in or after that to commemorate something in March. The Wehrmacht itself and its personnel then still in a state of flux as preparations were evolving - is problematic at best with specific units because of all of the reorganizations taking place. Reorganizations that caused a very steep drop off in the unit specific type of ”For My Service” bayonets well before March of 1941. FP

Something that has been known for a long time is that “one of” examples have at least two advantages over conventional ones: a) By avoiding known production items that could be compared side by side with period examples it’s much easier to make excuses why they don’t conform. b) It makes the item more attractive as something “rare and unusual” - that could trigger some competitiveness among collectors that can raise the price well beyond what it should have sold for. Fakers using this aspect of human nature for many decades - in all price ranges, high and low. FP

"We" as in a team? There were five responses after I made the one you posted. Just trying to provide some insight on some of the tricks that some fakers have used. FP
