    German innovations

I haven't tracked this subject extensively, but a couple German ideas that were carried on after the War: fold-down spinner post on tuning knobs - seen later in USA equipment such as ARC-2 and some others - one signal generator also at least, whose type number i don't recall. Optical display system for tuning scale, on E.52 and E.53 - later seen in 1950s RCA receivers or the FRR- and SRR- series ( FRR-23, SRR-19 are ones i recall ); also seen in Rossian
"Volnya" receiver" ? Bandantenne - i think this was first seen in pre-war
QST (USA ham radio magazine) but first use in military was WM - seen later in 1950's USA PRC-8, 9, -10 manpack radios? Other examples? Thanks- Hue

The russian postWW2 radio based on Koln E-52 technology was R-251, R-252, R-310 (but not "Volna").

Oh, there was LOT of ideas copied from german radios to russian radios. The list will be just too long to present here. I think it would be safe to say that most russian radios uses in the way or another some idea from german radios. Even tank transmitter P-123 used still in early 90's, used german origin frequency pre-selector idea.

Yes, you are right. But in R-123 you can see also the mechanical memory like in the FuG-16.
