Salty DAK Jäger M40 Cap

Santa came early and gave me this fantastic early M40 with emerald green soutache for Jäger/Rifle Regiment.

It's salty as hell with tears and period repair sewing and frankly, I'm amazed it survived to this day without falling apart! I got it from Germany and as usual, the eagle had been removed. Luckily, a very generous friend and forum member sent me a replacement eagle that perfectly matches the cap. Thanks mate!
A rather unusual and cool feature is the grey enamel on the grommets, never seen that before. Would that help identify the maker? I think I can see some very faint markings on the lining but can't read them unfortunately.

Yes, that i did as well. So maybe you use a bit your Brain....the Auction was with that Price shut down, but the Cap not sold for that Price but for a dam lot more, since i bid 800 and didnt got it for that. So before you Post some Crap, make first sure that you are right with what you post. And next time be simple faster and use a bigger Wallet.....
