    Post Your Generalstab Visors

I thought we had a thread dedicated to these, but it seems we do not (if we do, please direct me to it).

If we don't, we should have a thread dedicated solely to these hats, with their lovely "rivers 'o carmine", so post 'em if you got 'em!

            Just to remind you :

EM/NCO visors in that Waffenfarbe are always simply a Veterinarian, as the lowest rank of ANY General Staff officer is Hauptman

Of course ther is no difference.

                Please, just read with understanding.
I did not say anything about the Waffenfarbe difference. Because there is no such difference at all.

                Once again:

Every EM/NCO visor in this color is always a Veterinarian, every Officer visor in this color is Veterinarian or General Staff.

That is because the lowest possible rank for General Staff is Hauptmann im Generalstab (Hauptmann i. G.).

So to assume, the first posted visor is 50/50, the second visor is Veterinarian.

                  Both are splendid !

There is an EM/NCO Generalstab-marked hat, but I cannot find it in my files.
In any event, this document shows that there were O/R who were entitled to wear carmine:

                              Marcin,

I used to think the same thing until Chris posted that page a couple of years ago in another Thread. Since then I have seen a period printed color plate (from around 1936/37 if I remember correctly) that showed an artist's rendition of a Carmine EM strap labeled as OKH.

Nonetheless, I appreciate your comment on my hat.

                              Best regards!
