That's a lot of $'s for something that is presumed to have belonged to AH. I wonder if all the documented investigation to declare it original is going to the winning bidder?

      750000 Euro is approx $832,000 + $170.000 in commission + $10,000 fees = well over a $1,000,000.00

Way too rich for my blood and most ppl I know.

As far as I understand, right before Craig Gottlieb, Wolfe and Hardin had this cap along with other belongings of AH. This cap and other belongings were "consigned" (?) to Craig Gottlieb. And now, it is on Thies. I don't know whether this cap comes directly from W&H to Thies or from Craig Gottlieb to Thies because I don't know whether Craig Gottlieb really bought it.

This hat is one of two visors which are remarkably and IMO, suspiciously similar.
The other has a black visor.
Grab a beer and start reading the thread below.

What provenance is there with it?

Price will go through the roof I am guessing...

Hard to sell in one grouping and let see what happened (split-up) in coming Thies auction.

Am I missing something or is their actual documentation clearly demonstrating the provenance of the pieces in question and in particular the AH visor?

                          Hi,

the "Lieber case" is as foggy as possible...
Also if i'm right, we do not have good pictures of the said Hitler grouping after its find in 1945... What "surfaced" at Mohawk in the 60's could be well an insurance scam... But again, this is just a theory.
